when one scrolls dow today's page, you get the feeling to walk on the mosaic... such a strong optical illusion.

try it! isn't it amazing?

Those are lovely. One advantage to places where it rarely freezes. Here they would be destroyed after a couple of winters.

Blooming Beautiful tiled doorsteps. I see happy playful people gleefully stepping on them. Very Mary Quant!

WOW, it's amazing! I have always been a fan of mosaics, these are really good.
There is one I'm particularly fond of in one of my favourite Starbucks in Barcelona.

xx

Maveri - that's exactly what I love to do: I walk around the city with my eyes wide open, looking for beauty. It's amazing what one passes by without seeing it if one doesn't pay attention.
It's so inspirational to find beauty around!

PVE Design - yes, and I can also visualize little kids playing on the tiles (you know, "only step on the black tiles" or something...)

Kitt - good point, I totally hadn't thought about that!

Iñaki - you'll have to give me the name of the place in Barcelona in case I go one day...
