Welcome, Arthur!
My friends Guillaume and Céline just had a wonderful baby. Blue-eyed Arthur was born in Paris 10 days ago and is in perfect health, loved and pampered as he is... I held him in my arms today and think I can say we get along superbly.
Nothing's more beautiful that a baby's hands.
I was thrilled to go shopping for a present for Arthur (baby clothes are irresistible!) so I went around a few stores; I thought I'd show you my favorite shop window, the one at Bonpoint.

sweet!
I love everything about babies - baby clothes are always sooo cute! I love Bonpoint too - they have a great factory shop at Vallée Village near Disneyland, Marne la Vallée, nr Paris -just in case your friends are interested..:)
I love that shop window shot!
Beautiful baby, of course. Love a tiny baby.
I know a little boy with that name! Baby clothes are one of the loveliest things to shop for. :-)
So glad you got to hold Arthur. It must have felt amazing. I too love baby clothes. At antique markets I often gravitate to the ancient white linen gowns and caps used in christening...
what a beautiful baby! and yes baby hands are just so amazing...
and it is fun to buy baby clothes....
le sigh...

My girlfriend is having a baby in two months and I can't wait. I don't think we have baby stores here that are as charming at the one in your photo though. When I was in New York last week, there were the cutest baby stores there....but EXTREMELY expensive. I think I will knit something for her :)
LOVE that look on his face, he's still so pure... it translates into us to look at it, don't you think? Love his hands, and little feet, and baby smell (most of the time). :)
MARIE - Me too! I always wish I had more babies around to buy baby clothes!
HERE THERE... - Thanks for the tip! It's true Bonpoint always has the best windows.
RAINING SHEEP - congratulations to your girlfriend!! I hope you'll keep us updated via your blog.
And do knit something. The best presents are always hand made.
RYAN - so true!
MANSUETUDE - I took the picture as Arthur was sleeping against his dad's chest, which probably explains his peaceful expression.
What a wonderful name and such a beautiful baby! Best wishes to your friends. Babies are a time for celebration! Enjoy the fun shopping! :^)
i think baby hands are just the most darling thing too..i got a card in the mail notifying me of the birth of a friend's baby, & there was a gold baby hand print on the envelope, really melted my heart! love that shop window, so charming...

I love babyclothes... and those little hands are always so irresistably cute.
