Getting Ready For Christmas

I love Christmas! This year I'm giving either books or hand made treasures found on Etsy. Still haven't started your shopping? Find some ideas on my 2009 gift guide.
I also received a few presents and cards already, all of which a piled up on my red chest - also adored with fresh flowers and scented with two of my favorite candles, English Ivy and Hinoki Temple. Now what's missing is a gingerbread house...

Did you do the wrapping? Beautiful :-)

All those goodies piled up on the chest - how lovely. Last year I made a gingerbread house but it was pretty challenging and my sides came out different lengths so I had to tie the whole thing together while the icing set so stop it falling apart. All good fun though. Thanks for the gift ideas!

I also wrap my presents immediately so I have plenty of time to look at them before giving them away.
I've always wanted to make a gingerbread house, but has never been brave enough. Just bought a magazine the other day with a recipe for a two-storeyed gingerbread house - and it had a chandelier!
But maybe it's not the place to start?:-D

ALESSANDRA - I did some of the wrapping only! I love wrapping presents...

CARINA - wow, a chandelier! It sounds more like a Ginger Palace....

LAURA - you know, I'm afraid I forgot about that class. Too bad.

SAMMI - yes!

Has Benjy made his Christmas wishes known? Does he nose around the pretty packages? Probably he cannot get up that high but dealing with a four-legged acrobatic toddler cat...well. Need I say more? Very pretty picture. (I love trunks.)

ciao

ah, I love to see all those presents on the box, I have almost wrapped all my gifts, except one or two.
There is so much snow here, it's difficult to actually go and shop for long, but it looks very christmas like :-)
have wonderful days Mary-Laure, enjoy it.

Belated thanks for your comment, how lovely to have grown up in Kenya, or at least I would imagine so.
