Creatures

Today I wanted to ask Benjy to answer one of his fans' questions. But poor Benjy! After he got bit by a Big Dog, the skin around his wound got infected and the poor little beast is on antibiotics. He's lost a patch of glossy hair on his neck so he is camera-shy these days...
In lieu of Benjy, I thought I'd feature these adorable creatures I spotted today outside a flower shop. I don't like seeing caged animals, but this rabbit didn't seem too unhappy, as he munched on an ear of corn and some carrots; he reminded me of the terrific hare Andrea displayed on her blog.

this cute little rabbit with its bright eye made me think of Alice in Wonderland.

Hi Mary - Laure, thank you for the mention.
Poor Benjy, say hello to him and have a nice weekend, both of you!

Hope Benjy is feeling better. This little bird is so sweet. I agree about cages...it's hard to see animals cramped up in spaces too small for them. We went to the zoo the other day, so it's been on my mind.

Pierre - how coud I NOT think of Alice in Wonderland, a book I so love, when I saw this rabbit!
But where is his watch? Maybe he hides it under the carrots...

Saludos!

Hi Mary - Laure!

Thank you for that comment on Calorielab! I just want to say that even better than the food, in Uruguay, was how wonderful everyone treated me and my dad! I have many special memories from that "bon voyage."

Why do men cage things, to study them, to keep their souls which have already flown? sigh.

It is raining wildly here, and the rain is never caged, not even as we drink it. ;) O it sings.

Hope your dog is healing; your kindness will solve his aches, surely.
