Benjy The Oracle On Stifling Weather

We have a question here from my dog, Jack, in New York. How is the weather and how do you do with the heat. Personally Jack is not a fan. What is your favorite way to cool off in Paris? Kwana

Dear Jack & Kwana, dear readers, I love the sun and am lucky enough to not need sunscreen, unlike my assistant Mary-Laure, who must not set foot outdoors without sunscreen. However when it gets too hot, I lie on cool tiles... mmmmmmhhhh....
Mary-Laure sometimes heads for a cone of ice-cream in Paris. Here are the places she recommends:
POZZETTO, rue du Roi de Sicile, her very favorite! Home-made gelati.
RAIMO, 51 boulevard de Reuilly, home-made ice-creams with great flavors such as ginger and maple syrup
BERTHILLON, Île Saint-Louis, the quintessential French glaces.
Dear readers, if you too have a question about lifestyle, fashion, shopping, Paris or anything else, don't hesitate to post it in the Comment section. The Oracle always answers!Benjy

Dear Benjy,

Thanks so much for answering our question from New York on dealing with the heat. Kwana will be using some of Mary-Laure's tips and Jack has been sneaking off into the cool empty bathtub lately much to Kwana's dismay!

The Oracle casts a substantial shadow. À propos for a creature larger than life.

Berthillon on the île Saint Louis is the perfect place to walk an see the sunset in Paris.

JENNIFER ELAINE - I love love love your comment. Benjy is great in everything but his size indeed.

MARIE - yes, French scoops are traditionally very small...

YASU - maybe we can meet some time in Paris for a ice-cream cone? Marie could join us too!

RAIMENT URBANE - aaaaw, thanks!

i love this photo, too. It looks so dry, my first thought was of a bone yard, ancient, on a waterless planet.

Does Benjy keep a dream journal? Ginger ice cream or even maple (my once favorite with walnuts): Yum!

MANSUETUDE - the picture was actually taken in a garden in the South West of France, which can be, during the summer time, a "waterless planet" indeed!
I'll have to ask Benjy if he keeps a dream journal... Maybe he'll post about it some time on this blog! Stay tuned...

Dear Benjy,

Please be sure to send Mary-Laure over to Berthillon to have a scoop of the amande flavor glace for tangobaby.

I will be so happy to know that she is eating some even if I am far away and cannot share it!

Stay cool!

Dear Tango Baby - I will make sure Mary-Laure has a scoop of Berthillon amande ice-cream for you; I'm sure she will be delighted by this special mission you're sending her on.
Though I love roasted almonds, I myself am not allowed to have ice-cream - sigh. I'll have to find other ways to "stay cool"...

I can only agree! And your blog's really great - actually I'm going to Paris this summer and I would love to live there someday.

Benjy,

You are a wonderful pup. Thank you for sending Mary-Laure on this important errand. I know it will make her happy.

PS. I saw a very very cute puppy over the weekend that you would have liked. I think you might want to come to SF someday where it never gets hot and then you won't have to worry about the weather. Also, there are many cute dogs you could be friends with.

TANGO BABY - actually, I showed Benjy those adorable pics on your blog; he says he thinks it's a King Charles kind of dog.
My parents are in the Bay Area right now and having a great time despite the heat; they too saw some cute dogs!

Hi Benjy,

I'm so happy that Mary-Laure showed you the pictures of the spaniel puppy I saw last week. I will keep trying to find cute friends for you in case you ever come here to visit. (I should have gotten that puppy's email address for you.)

Tell Mary-Laure that if she wants to pop by Debauve et Gallais and get a praline too, I would be fine with that!

And thank you for adding me to your blogroll. I'm very honored!
