I Am In Los Angeles!

Congratulations to all of you who guessed it right - Los Angeles was indeed my destination! I'm staying in a beautiful, airy house on the heights of Santa Monica, and can see all the way to the Pacific Ocean.
I've already raided a pharmacy to stock up on Dr Brommer soap and Neutrogena stuff, as well as a Barnes & Noble - of course.

You have probably heard of the Typo Eradication Advancement League, a crazy group that hunts typos across America. I am proud to say that, unbeknownst to them, I inaugurated a Parisian chapter of their organization on my way to the Charles de Gaulle airport. On the bus, I proudly whipped out my marker to add an S to a faulty sentence...

I've never heard about that group, find it funny and useful and well done with the S! I'll read with pleasure your LA vacations. See you.

I heard about a shop called "VERT", only selling organic brands-i saw nice tee that you should love.

Are you going to West Hollywood for Bastille Day Celebrations?

Do you mean Dr Bronner's (the Pure Castille Soap)? My personal favorite is the Tea Tree Oil scented.

CHLOE - I'd love to see that t-shirt, do you have a link?

LAURA - hmmmmm, I don't think so...

JENNIFER - ah yes, thanks for correcting me. Dr Bronner, Brommer, Bromner, I never get it right.
Tea Tree Oil is the one I got!

PVE - aaaaaaaaw, I would have loved to see those puppies and snatch one away...

Typos--and hypercorrections such as "I" instead of "me"--drive me crazy too. Kudos for helping to make France a more grammatical country!

Dear Mary-Laure,

Although I am happy for you that you are enjoying the warm California sun, I'm sad that you won't be spending Bastille Day with us up here in San Francisco.

The most important thing you can do while in LA is to visit Remix Vintage Shoes. Their shoes are gorgeous reproduction vintage styles, and in my opinion, the best reason to visit LA!

The shop is right near the Farmer's Market, and I am a walking testimonial to their great shoes. I love them!

PS. I cannot tell you how I uncovered your secret vacation destination, but I will tell you that Benjy is innocent.

Typo Eradication Advancement League?? They would have a frenzy here in Australia...I just don't understand it...spelling and grammar are NOT held in high regard here! lol (In my defense...it is my Kiwi, raised in Oz, hubby who thinks I am nuts for caring about the serious grammatical and spelling errors in otherwise serious news journals and business promotions, etc!)
