From Paris to Malibu

Benjy relaxes at the airport before boarding the 747 that will take him to Los Angeles...

The view of the Pacific Ocean at dusk, a block away from my Malibu studio.

Benjy and I send sunny birthday wishes to our dear Jennifer - Benjy's sometimes nanny and my wonderful friend, our Montana gal in Paris.

Welcome! !Bienvenida! I grew up on the westside of LA and you will definitely have a lot to take in! Great picture of Benjy, I was hoping he would also be stateside! Norman sends un abrazo muy fuerte también!

Beautiful!

Benjy looks so tired... a big trip for a little star... read him some poetry.

SEALAURA - Benjy tambien le manda un abrazo y le ladra con carino a Norman.

MANSUETUDE - the Lakers are playing tonight so Benjy'd better be in shape!

Oh, how I am moved by the sheer beauty of the landscape!
I grew up close to the Atlantic ocean, but I must say that the view of the Pacific ocean (wherever I saw it: in Valparaiso, Vina del Mar, Buenaventura, Los Cabos, and the California coast) has always moved me. So might have been Vasco Núñez de Balboa who was the first Euroepan to set foot on it.
You're lucky to be so close to such beauty. Good vibs!

Ahhh! He is ADORABLE..!
Beautiful photos; bet the weather there is just perfect (unlike here)...
Happy "emménagement"..!

I know Christmas is a long way off; but, I just couldn't wait...

I'm in the midst of gift-wrapping an extremely early Christmas present for all my delightful favourite bloggers - it'll be ready this evening if you'd like to pop by my blog anytime after that and pick it up..:)

"Benjy relaxes at the airport"... Let me laugh... "Benjy, petrified with Horror, debates making a run for it" is WAY more accurate...

Beny looks pertly tired and partly bored :-)

Ah, Anonymous (Blondie), you know me so well!

J Elaine said...

Just for the record, I am not the insightful anonymous. Though for my two cents, Benjy was maybe paralyzed with fear and therefore unable to 'make a run for it' unlike the poodle that evaded capture on the Boston airport tarmac for some 17 hours while authorities tried to corral her...

Hum, Celine, Freud...

But Jennifer, Blondie is the name of Charlotte's golden retriever - a fellow pooch who understands my do heart...

LA is a great place. I stayed there for a couple of months some years ago and it was amazing!

By the way, why did you move there?

Becky said...

Benjy is adorable!

Mary-Laure said...

BONBON - Benjy recovered just fine after a couple of jet-lagged days...

LALA - Benjy was very happy to receive your kiss.

ALYA - well... let's just say I needed to start something new in my life. And being by the ocean never hurts!

Fifi Flowers said...

Welcome! By the way... how is Benjy's English... is he bilingual?

Anonymous said...

Hello FIFI, but of course I speak English! "Fetch" is my favorite word. I also like "Treat".

TANGOBABY - yes, I couldn't think of a better time to come back to the USA. I had been wanting to live in CA for a long time, too.
