Oh beautiful Amsterdam... While I adore its narrow brick buildings, some prefer to live on houseboats. What would you choose?
And I am happy to present you the New Thalys, which one takes at Amsterdam's spectacular (above) Central Station. With its red and purple seats, and its sleek design details, this New Thalys makes the Thalys even better.
Visit again this weekend, for some shopping on Staalstraat...

A narrow brick building, please!
Good, that leaves the houseboat for me and my rabbits.
I have a dream of houseboats and geraniums and brunches on the canal.
D MOLL - the bunnies in a houseboat! Ha! I can imagine them... Do you know I once saw a dog on a canal in Amsterdam, clad in a yellow life jacket?
The bunnies would need one, too.
Or can they swim?
CLEVER PUP - it's true, there are just so many geraniums around this wonderful city!
And brunch, yes, a Dutch brunch, with local cheese, good dark bread, muesli, fresh orange juice... Yum.
Oh...a houseboat...and I will only wear paint-stained over-sized clothes...and paint on unstretched canvases that I can lay on the floor...making abstract impressions of the water, the sky and the movement. When can I come?
amsterdam is a beautiful city...can't wait for the shopping trip...;)))
SPANGLER CUMMINGS - I am sure this city would inspire you with its beauty and energy.
Nice. The new Thalys is the new BLACK!
A flat overlooking a canal in the last floor of a brick building!
J ELAINE - your comment made me laugh out loud!
I love the charming bulidings. Very snazzy train seats! I love travel and have not yet been to Amsterdam~ this may need to go on my list for the next trip.
Amsterdam is really an amazing city!
Very nice photos btw :-)
i simply love Amsterdam's colours! thank you for a beautiful post that makes me nostalgic...
Houseboat for sure! Love the architecture of Amsterdam - so distinctive, isn't it? P.S. Where's your young fella? Has he stayed in Paris?
ROXANA - nostalgic? Have you lived there maybe?
SAM - yes, Benjy stayed in Paris while I was in Amsterdam. But he's been there before and was very successful with the locals!
A house boat, of course :-).
I love that Benji is traveling with you!
What an enjoyable vacatin you and Benjy are having. Did he visit Amsterdam with you?
ANNIE AND TINA - actually, Benjy stayed in Paris with my mum. But he has visited Amsterdam before, walking by the canals, and he had great fun there! The Dutch just loved him!
When in Amsterdam...
I'd choose the boat.
Oh, sin duda es una de mis ciudades preferidas. Me iría ahora mismo a vivir allí...si pudiera.
Benjy es un perro global no?? para trasladar a mis gatos lo tengo muy complicado, se ponen enfermos (son muy territoriales).
felices vacaciones!
