Ice-Cream Dress

Ice-cream dress - that's the lovely name that my favorite Etsy seller, Tortilla Girl, gave this item. With its delicate, playful shoulder straps, its seersucker grayish blue fabric and its perfect, perfect execution, this crisp and fresh dress has become my favorite. Becky, aka Tortilla Girl, adapted this design to my body (I emailed her my exact measurements for a flawless fit) and my color preference (I wanted gray or blue stripes instead of the pink featured in her Etsy shop, and she went to buy some fabric especially for me)...
The bliss, the bliss!

I may love it even more than the previous dress I got from her, the exquisite model below...Do you have an Etsy shop? Which ones are your favorites?
I'm already in full Christmas shopping mode and want to buy as much as possible from Etsy - and also from dear Marie's lovely new shop, Ici.

Those dresses look very lovely on you. I think I like the grey one best :-) but the striped one is great for warm weather. I don't have an Etsy shop but I routinely check in on a number of them.

Nice find. Nice score.

Yes, I have an etsy shop, which has been neglected for far too long.

The dresses are so cute!

I have a ETSY shop where I sell ribbon. Thanks for the reminder I need to update it this week. It has been hard with the move of my mom near us.

I have an arm length of favorite ETSY shops that I love. I buy from ETSY all the time for gifts and will do so this coming holidays.

Have a golden weekend my friend. xoox

These are wonderful. I just went to the shop & will go back now. See ya later. (I love etsy & check it often, too. Even though at moment, computer spending has tied up a lot of money.)

xo

PS: Of course, this reminds me that my mother used to say (with a sigh at times), isn't it wonderful that cats & dogs are always so chic? One perfect outfit.

Indeed.

I love Etsy too, and buy regularly from some of my favorite shops. In fact, it's one of my favorite places to shop as I find everything I need for my kids, myself and gifts for others.
Both those dresses look gorgeous on you!

Oh, that's what I love about Etsy - you are talking directly to a real human being who cares about you being happy with their work... I think it may be even part of the joy - knowing how happy you are with the things they make!

I just had a similar experience with Rebekah, from Littlebyrd (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5805724)... Her handmade items are beautifully crafted to the smallest detail. And she is lovely - just lovely. High;y recommend you visit her little corner of the world... :)

DEBRA - ruffles! That's the word I was looking for!

GIULIA - I adore what your mum said! Such a GREAT GREAT quote!

ANNIE - I love ceramics, so I'll check out your shop.

VINTAGE MEL - that's exactly it: you connect with people who really care about what they're producing. And who are so talented!

There is nothing like a perfect fit!
I believe your great grandmother Ines was a seamstress so you must already know that.
Tell me, does the Oracle get his collars tailor made as well?

I visited here yesterday and then was sidetracked by that lovely dress & her shop and forgot to comment on how much I fancy that dress. It's lovely.

APRILINIOWA - getting sidetracked happens a lot on the Internet, doesn't it? The whole Web is like an invitation to digress.

I do have an Etsy shop! Bloom Creatives.

I too am a huge Etsy fan. In fact, I bought two pieces of my wedding jewelry from Etsy, and some for my bridesmaids!
