The plums have a very delicate color. THey look beautiful in the green and white plate. How are you going to prepare the peas?
I love "anis de flavigny", a childhood memory!

Ooooh this looks delish! I love fruits, so juicy and sweet...
My owner would like to point out that she brought back some delicious dates from her last escapade, which she will gladly share with you when Christmas comes!!!

I still have a few of the anis de flavigny tins- but I haven't seen them in shops for years. Peas and plums- mmmm... like Laura, wondering how you prepared them.

Lovely, I found your site through Debra, and don't you just love her! Inspiration comes from everywhere.... including the beautiful colors in fresh fruits and vegetables.

I LOVE that candy. My sister just brought me some back from France. I also got the anise candy as well.

The plums almost look like fresh figs. Can you believe I just had my first taste of steamed edamame on Friday night for dinner? They were yummy.

LAURA - the peas? I just eat them raw, with the pods and all! It's just TOO good, sweet and crunchy.

TAOCITO - I know you're a fruit lover. Grapes and watermelon especially, no?

DEBRA - actually I was sent these Flavigny candy from France! I've never seen it here in the US.

KARENA - oh yes, Debra is a real darling!

RAINING SHEEP - enjoy them! I love it when I get treats from abroad, traveling candy and the like.

JOYFUL - oh I adore endame! Such a unique taste. And very healthy.

What a tasty trio... I am sure they were enjoyed this weekend past.

Well I am not too picky. I also like pineapple, mangoes, apples... as long as it's juicy I am a fan. I also like vegetables too (tomatoes, carrots...) I do believe in a healthy diet and eating my fruits and vegetables daily. "Dog food" is for dogs, I am so much more than that!

I love visual posts. I appreciate the quiet in the absence of words so you can really sink into the images...

M.L., I can't stand all the fur ads either. PETA has been sending me pamphlets and zines I can't look through, so I'm not sure which one is worse. I bet Benjy doesn't beg when he sits by you!

I have a plum tree in my backyard. It gives the sweetest plums. I've made a few jars of jam to hold us through the winter. My husband made homemade brandy. Our basement smelled like a distillery for weeks!

TAOCITO - oh yes, you are so much more than that!

DONNA - yes, those brochures are terrible indeed. I cannot bear to look at them.

ANGIE - how wonderful to have fruit tree in your backyard. I envy you. The brandy adventure sounds crazy and fabulous, tell me more!

Yum. Made plum gratin tonight...that kind of evening. I also love Flavigny candy...a friend just brought me a tin of the rose ones after a trip to see her mother in Lyon. Yay. Little treats are the best..

I'm impressed with Tacocito's fruit intake. GG won't touch it. (What she doesn't know is that there is fruit in her organic cat food. Sneaky!)

ML, I forgot to mention, I had my first Dragon Fruit this weekend. It was good, but wondered if you know, is it like a mango in that if you wait long enough, it will get much more flavorful and sweet, or not. It was sweet, but I must say, I had hoped for a stronger flavor and a little more sweetness. It was a beautiful thing.

I was thinking maybe The Oracle could Twitter? He has SUCH a big following ...

GIULIA - plum gratin? That sounds delicious. How do you make it?

DONNA - I'll try to find some next time I visit an Asian supermarket. I am always willing to try fruit I've never tasted before.

J ELAINE - I'll see if he can fit it in his busy schedule. Will keep you posted.
