Around My Neighborhood

TIGER, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

(William Blake, "The Tiger")

A shop window on Main Street - I wonder what is wrong with Mr Pumpkin's eyes? Near sighted, do you think?

This 1952 convertible MG is for sale for $4,400. I walk past it on Rose street and sigh with desire.

California sunset over anorexic palm trees - this is paradise.

And I bet the temperature is too. It is supposed to be 30 here for the high Thanksgiving and the wee grandchildren and going to want to ride the 4 wheeler over and over and over...Hope your day is blessed.

Aw, I miss California;)

I had bought the squirrel in Nevers in a shop called "la Chaise Longue", I go there every year, it's filled with goodies and gadgets. You might be able to find one online though too.

ALESSANDRA - this poem has such a beautiful rhythm, it's unforgettable!

BLUE OWL - ok, cool! There are actually many Chaise Longue outlets in Paris, I might be able to find something comparable next time I'm around...

SAMMI - I love it that you "feed" your dog poetry by Blake!

The Blake poem carries well throughout the years. I love your anorexic palm tree comment - they DO look anorexic!

Oh, it looks so warm over there...! here we are wearing our scarves and gloves in the morning.
It must be wonderful to eat in the garden and to take in all the summer scents and atmosphere.

enjoy!

Cher Mary-Laure.....I love seeing LA through your eyes.....actually, I really like LA (not one of those SF "snobs"...) LA holds many wonderful memories for me....but, your impressions are wonderfully refreshing! (I crave that MG.....)

And.....I hope Monsieur Benjy is recovering from his jet lag......

Give him a kiss on that adorable nose for me!

Hugs,

♥ Robin ♥

Things do look lovely...I may have to visit some day. Love the tiger poem, of course, & that tiger in the window is wonderful.

But mainly...we are wondering about dear Benjy's re-entry. Is he still requesting to go out after midnight?

Oh! Thank you for reminding me of this, of these lines. It is the perfect pick-me-up to my day to read this.

La calabaza está preciosa.
Muy bueno lo de las palmeras, jejej por aquí las tenemos más bajitas y gorditas, así que no hay de que preocuparse.
