In Como

Sorry girls, I have no George Clooney sighting to report in Como - the star famously owns a villa in this beautiful and posh little town. I did however see things of great beauty, such as the Duomo, with its extraordinary, ornate facade.
In the tiny little streets, every single building seems to have remarkable ancient features (such as that carved woman's face, below, spotted in a private courtyard) and sheer elegant lines - isn't that wood door fantastic? I also shopped and treated myself to something very, very nice. Visit Aurea again this week to check it out!

DEBRA - yes, I agree, then the special item is even more special because it reminds you of your travels. Like the sandals I bought in Greece, my scarf from Amsterdam etc.

Oh, how beautiful..! All of your photos and your travels. And your little friend in Paris... I am slightly envious, I have to say - for I'd trade scorching heat in Europe any day for the same weather here at home. Sigh. But I am happy for you. I am. :)

xoox,
-maria

I love places with culture like this. I've only been to Milano in Italy, but it wasn't as WOW as I thought it to be. Next time, I'm going to visit Florence, Rome and other Capri. I have to!

ALYA - yes, you have to. Capri is my favorite place in the world. And Florence... divine!

Oh you are making me envious! Beautiful photos. Reminds me of my trip to Italy a number of years ago now. We didn't make it to Como. Maybe one day. I've been scrolling down in your blog too. Very, very envious. I want to be in Paris now!!
