(Dance, Arts, Fashion, Books...)
Well, good to see that you keep some bubbly in there! How is your local farmers market?ciaoAlessandra
ALESSANDRA - the farmers' markets here in California are really magical! The produce is super fresh, and you can also get things like local honey, dried fruit, nuts, mushrooms, flowers etc.A lot of things are organic and everything is grown in the immediate area. The ones I go to are in Venice or in Santa Monica and it's always a treat for the eyes and the palate.
I'd love to taste a fresh avocado and I hope you have some delicious artisanal bread for that jam.
Will you share the avocados?
DONNA - oh yes, I know a couple of places here in LA where I can find some good bread, but I have to admit that the one thing about Paris that I really miss is the bread...LAURA - I would love to!
Lovely clean fridge, Mary-Laure. I'm feeling that I should draw heaps of soapy hot water & get to it. Alas, I'm busy cooking so will wait. Love fruit, of course. I'm looking right now at 2 pears & an apple - not soon for this desk. They shall be in a gratin dish soon. Now to the important part, really. Giulia wants to know where is the cat food for any drop in visitors. (She is the most frightfully forward girl. Can't do a thing with her.)It's raining buckets here...xoxo
What's behind the pomegranate juice? Very curious.
JL - oui je me souviens des avocats au Kenya, on les mangeait avec de la vinaigrette.SUSAN & GIULIA - an apple pear gratin, yum! Giulietta, fret not, I always whip up something special when I have guests. Meeeeeoooooow!J ELAINE - I believe that's a bottle of pure grapefruit juice. It's already gone by now!
Seeing this photo, post Farmers' Market, I am reminded of all the summer goodness that lies ahead for me. Peaches! Apricots! All those marvellous stone fruits. Bliss.Enjoy all that you have gathered.
thats one empty fridge! Sadly I have two...
cheers to abundance!! you do have the bubbly i see~laura
Your fridge looks pretty much like mine...:)
I love apples, too.
POOCH - yes, my parents taught me that you should always have a bottle of champagne in the fridge because you never know when you'll have something to celebrate. And sometimes, what you want to celebrate is just the joy of being together!
Nice! My poor fridge ALWAYS looks like the "before" :)
very cool.... i like that~pooch
The best way to fill your refrigerator.
RSA Course - ha ha ha! Yes, I know, many people always have a "Before" fridge. I got in the habit of going to the farmers' market once a week, but it's also because I'm lucky to have great markets nearby...
mmmm, que pinta tiene!
Looks like a successful trip! Not only fresh fruits, but also some packaged goods too! (I wish my fridge was half as healthy as yours.....)
