Beautiful images. I love seeing photos of beaches; none anywhere in my vicinity. Just -25C and snow. Sigh! Will spring ever come.

Silence speaks louder than words. that's what those pictures just did.

Where is Benjy? Did he enjoy the wave ...

HILA - and a tribute to Virginia Woolf...

RAINING SHEEP - wow, that sounds very cold! Spring is scheduled to arrive in 11 days!

WORLD IN A PAN - are you kidding? Benjy stays away from the waves at all costs, even if a ball ends up in the water.

very beautiful. I can almost hear the waves. BTW how did benjy spend his birthday?

Only 40 minutes away and yet I rarely make it to the beach... sigh... you are sooooo lucky to be on a beach... ENJOY!

SEALAURA - nap! treats! belly rubs! That's how Benjy spent his birthday. Still can't believe he's 8.
I loved Norman's birthday pictures, by the way.

FIFI - come on, get to the ocean! It should be inspirational for an artist like you.

I really like it :) Good idea there!

Gorgeous images...I want to walk on that beach, picking up pieces of flotsam and jetsom.

I feel like going to San Sebastian...

SAM - actually, you just gave me an idea; I'll try to record the sound of the sea for an upcoming post about the ocean...

CATHERINE - there are many treasures to be found on the beach, including starfish and sea shells. I've posted some pictures of such finds, you can see them if you click on the label The Sea.

To be by the sea, night or day, yes, that is where I long to be.

oh how wonderful colours and shapes... I can almost smell the sea...

Those images really touch me. They prompt me to think of a place that is very dear. I can smell the sea breeze.

The pictures spoke a 1,000 words. I so wanted to step into the wet sand. Have a golden day!

I love these photos - I can almost smell the sea and hear the waves..:)

I love the angle that you shot these beautiful pictures at. Ahh... the sea. I find true peace within the sea.

CHRISTINA - me too, the ocean really brings me peace; that's why I moved to California!

'sup old girl.
Suffit que je tourne le dos 10 ans et t'en profites pour faire n'importe quoi. En plus t'as un chien.

Blame it on Grodin qui m'a pointé ton chouette blogue avec son doigt d'ivrogne.

le sto (old timer).

Mary-Laure said...

LIMONANA - do go to the beach, it brings inspiration and peace of mind, such beauty...

NJUT... - I took these pictures at the beach just 2 minutes away from my place, in Malibu, California.
(And snow is beautiful, too, if much more silent)

Very organic. It gives me a sense of peace to know that you have such a beautiful and rhythmic landscape.

Beautiful pictures, when I was a kid I wanted to be a beach comber when I grew up, imagine my disappointment to find this was not a paying profession!

ah i want to be on a beach now

You know. I feel like the world is telling me to start reading Virginia Woolf. I haven't read any of her books, but I think I already love them. Is that possible?

Mary-Laure said...

PAL - any hangouts and places you'd recommend I discover around LA?

D MOLL - I can imagine; kind of like Holden Caufield discovering that being a catcher was not an actual profession...

K SUNDARI - actually, I often felt that about some authors whose works I loved even before I read them. I hope you enjoy reading Virginia one day.
