From the café-restaurant Le Fumoir, a view on the rue de Rivoli's graceful arches.
Chez Chloé, a dear friend from my high school days, a gorgeous poster and some trinkets.
Birds flying around the lake in the Bois de Boulogne.
I gave out many Etsy presents for Christmas, and now the items are "living" in Paris - here are two friends in the métro with a LOVE pillow I just gave them, and little Arthur (remember him?) wearing his handmade mouse hat, which I bought from ElleGanT's shop.
This post is dedicated to two beautiful and precious friends, Stacie and Adrienne, who have been dreaming of Paris for so long. May 2010 take you there!

Thank you for these...they are wonderful. I'll say something later about the others but I squealed when I saw Arthur & his mouse hat. He's a beautiful boy.
Safe journey.

I'm dying over that mouse hat. Too cute!
GIULIA - Arthur is always squeal-worthy, whether or not in his mouse hat! And he is also a very sweet, nice little guy.
The LOVE pillow in the métro is fabulous!
You do have the best taste. Arthur is adorable with or without that cute hat. I feel as though you must be traveling to LA very soon.~ Safe travels darlin'.
DEBRA - actually, I got back to LA on Wednesday afternoon - with Mr. Benjy of course!
It was a long (13 hrs) but safe and decent flight (no stopovers, yay!). To fight the dry airplane air, I slathered myself in Weleda's almond moisturizer before boarding...
Now I'm coping with jet-lag (it's a 9-hour time difference!).
Did Benjy get jet lag? I will miss seeing Paris through you.
Thanks for the lovely tour, Mary-Laure. As always, you delighted immensely.
DONNA - yes, Benjy did get jet-lagged! He wanted to go out and play ball in the middle of the night...
I grabbed him by the skin on his neck like a rabbit and placed him back firmly in bed.
I love this Paris tour through your eyes.
Beautiful photos and memories for you. Thanks for sharing your Paris with us :-)
I wish to go to Paris too.. but i think it would be a zillion times better if you would go with me and show me around!
...super!!
oh..and you can dedicate it to me as well...heheh!
What a beautiful blog, lovely photographs!
BITTERBETTY - short of going to Paris with moi, you can use the posts in this blog under the PARIS label for some tips and ideas outside the beaten tracks...
IF JANE - but you have been to France before, right? Whereas these 2 friends never have and they are so eager to go!
i'm going in 2011 woohoo!
Paris!!! Nowhere else like it! I feel whistful and melancholy that you are leaving - how strange is that? Maybe I am remembering my time there and how I felt when I had to leave!
Thank you for all the gorgeous photos you've been popping on your blog of your time there - it really has been wonderful to look at and read!
HANAKO - wow, you're planning way ahead.... Enjoy your trip next year!
SAM - Your enthusiasm goes straight to my heart. I'm very happy you enjoyed traveling "with" me via this blog.
It was hard for me to leave, most mostly for emotional reasons, as I was leaving my mum and dear friends behind. I miss them tons.
oh yes of course i have been...that is why i want to keep going ;))...
but they have never been...they must go now!
Merci Marie-Laure ,
j'adore la photo.

How darling is that mouse hat! Thank you for all the lovely photos from Paris, I am dreaming of Paris too. xoxo
CHLOE - I'm very happy you liked both the present and the photograph of your home, my dear tasteful and arty Chloe. Tu me manques! Punkie.
This little mouse hat is amazingly cute!
