London I Love You!

Today, after an exhausting two-day conference in a dreary basement, I could walk around London before taking the Eurostar... It's spring!

Tomorrow I will be sharing my small but a little crazy shopping booty!

Ahh! Look at those flowers. How I wish I was in London today. It's pouring in New York, but last week was beautiful so no real complaints. I can't wait to see your shopping finds.

I gather your booty may be related to dance ..

LONGCAT - I live in Paris but had to shuttle back and forth to London a lot lately...
The middle picture is the dance equipment store Freddy, currently under construction, that's why there's a ladder in front of the poster... I thought it was funny!

love the photo with the ladder.

I've visited many times, but this is my first comment at your wonderful place here.

The Kirov Ballet was in NY earlier this month; we saw performances of some Balanchine pieces set to music by Stravinsky and Tchaikovsky. No doubt, you would have loved it (perhaps you've seen them on tour this year as well).

I leave for London in 3 weeks and hearing that it is spring time there makes me even more excited.

Stacy - I hope to read about your stay in London on your blog!

Dianamuse - thank you so much, I'm delighted you left a comment! It's great when people leave comments because it allows me to explore their own wonderful blogs.
Unfortunately, I never saw the Kirov. It sounds like you saw an amazing performance. Balanchine is my favorite choreographer and both Stravinsky and Tchaikovsky are up there in my favorite-composers pantheon.
Lucky you!

Once there was a thing called spring,
When the world was writing verses like yours and mine.
All the lads and girls would sing,
When we sat at little tables and drank May wine.
Now April, May, and June are sadly out of tune,
life has stuck a pin in the balloon.
Spring is here! Why doesn't my heart go dancing?
Spring is here! Why isn't the waltz entrancing?
No desire, no ambition leads me,
maybe it's because nobody needs me?
Spring is here! Why doesn't the breeze delight me?
Stars appear! Why doesn't the night invite me?
Maybe it's because nobody loves me,
spring is here, I hear!
