Longing for spring, dressing for winter

It's still very much winter in Paris and, eager as I am to wear them, I can't go out with these sandals, which were designed by shoe artiste Pierre Hardy for The Gap... Shoe blogger Miss Glitzy and I had fun checking out the collection together on the Champs-Elysées; it includes chunky wedges and lots of perfect flat sandals.

It's so cold here that every day I wear my scarf and gloves from Manos de Uruguay, a great brand I talked about in a recent post. Their beautiful knits are handmade by a network of women around Uruguay; each piece is unique - every item's tag includes the name of the person who made it!

They fit you pretty well and be patient. Spring will come eventually. I love the scarf and gloves, they are beautiful. I must read your post about Manos de Uruguay and thanks for the link.

I like those sandals...I was just at the Gap today, but didn't see anything like that there...and I love the chunky scarf and gloves. I hope you don't have to wear them too much longer though :)

OMG those silver shoes are great I absolutely adore them and will buy a pair if I find something similar.
Sad that it's still cold over there, it's warmed up so nicely the last week or so here, 23 degrees!

JILL - from what I understand, the Pierre Hardy line sold out in no time, especially these sandals; last time I checked they weren't available online anymore either...

It's cloudy, rainy at times, here, but I hope we can spare using gloves and scarves for quite a while!

I had hoped to find those sandals online a few weeks but I suspect they sold out in a click that was heard around the world. They're lovely!

The scarf and gloves look lovely...

I bet winter is tolerable and could be nice if you have such lovely things to wear.

Wear the sandals inside the house even for a few minutes... at least that's what I would do if I have those.
