Fashion Buys

I find insects fascinating, so I couldn't resist this yellow and green Levi's tee (a mere $10, if you want to know).
And because I am also into looks that borrow from men's wardrobes, I fell for these American Apparel mini overalls/shorts with suspenders, and their wide buttons, large pockets, flannel-like fabric. It's a fun counterpoint to Los Angeles's girls' ubiquitous sports shorts...
You see, I've been a very reasonable shopper - or would have been if it hadn't been for all the books I bought. More on this some time this week.

I read that Yves Saint Laurent was among the first - if not THE first - to make women borrow clothes from men's wardrobes.

I love insects on t-shirts too. I have a cool one with a firefly on it. That is an excellent find, I love it.

Books?! In LA?!

;-)

I'm glad someone is reading there and not watching reality television! Enjoy LA and I'm waiting for your shoe report (or at least some photos).

KARINA - si, que lastima que los libros sean tan pesados, no... Sino hubiera comprado todavia mas, ja ja ja.

TANGO BABY - yes, books in LA; they're more common than you may think.
As for the shoes, I checked Remix's hours and open days online but when I went on Sat. afternoon they were closed!!! I got to check out their fabulous shop windows but couldn't get in. Too bad...

PIERRE - I am very booky, so very dangerous in my own way, he he he...
Et pour mon cou: je prends des cours ici presque tous les jours, j'ai peut-etre fait des progres.

Oh NO! How could Remix have been CLOSED?! Oh, that is a tragedy.

Je suis TRES desolee!!!

I would have bought many books to soothe my broken heart too. But you seem to be enjoying yourself without the shoes, so I am very happy for you.

I really like the t-shirt: unique silkscreens are always appealing to me. Also love the overalls- very cool.
