Federico Garcia Lorca is my favorite poet (with Shakespeare and Emily Dickinson) and in the green environment of the South-West of France, I think of his beautiful poem:
Verde que te quiero verde.
Verde viento. Verdes ramas.
El barco sobre la mar
Y el caballo en la montaña.

Very lush and beautiful. Thank you.
beautiful photos xo
que lindo post!, no solo porque el verde es uno de mis colores favoritos sino también porque me encanta Federico García Lorca, La casa de Bernarda Alba!, enloquecí con la obra de teatro. Hermosas las imágenes.
When I read the name of your post I thought it was about something about the environment .. and as I read I saw it was so much more .. beautiful poem.
NANCY - I adoooooooooore Neruda too, especially his Odas Elementales.
Thanks for the links!
RINA - pense en ti cuando escribi este post porque vivis en Chile, el pais de Neruda...
Muchas gracias ! and what's funny is that last week end, we were discussing with some friends the meaning of the "green" color in Lorca's work (eroticism).
Like every summer Granada is celebrating its poet with a dance and flamenco performance in the beautiful gardens of the Alhambra.
Last year and this year again, Bianca Li presented her superb choreography "Poeta in Nueva York".
I was wondering if by any chance you saw it when she presented it in Paris.
Que tengas un dia lleno de poesia
:-)
When the night is deserted
when our souls
are caught in the threads
of melancoly and depression
we shall wait for the morning
begging for some light
begging for a sign of love
and stare through the empty
windows of our minds
and listen through the crying
silence of the wind
to these few words
a color
a landscape
the wild animals of our souls
our life's sole solace
CASTLE IN SPAIN - I would so love to go to Granada!!
I haven't seen Blanca Li's show but would love to; she's very talented.
TRAVELER'SOUL - beautiful poem, thank you... I hope all this green helps you heal your soul.
Que lindo que recuerdes a Garcia Lorca
Perhaps you glimpse Thoreau's soul; perhaps it has wrapped round the world. I love that we (in all languages) celebrate the same beauty; see it and speak it. Lovely (lush) post.
MANSUETUDE - I actually adore Thoreau! I feel he's a kindred spirit, and a beautiful writer...
green has never been so beautiful!
my gosh, this is so lovely. and i'm completely delighted to find your blog. (nice to meet you.)
KATRINA - it's lovely to meet you too! You have a wonderful blog...
Ese poema se nos queda grabado desde la infancia. A mí me encanta, por su simplicidad y perfección.
Well it's very nice to hear I am not to be forgotten!
I looooooooooooove verde, es el mejor color para los paisajes! And it makes me feel happy!
