The Nemo
Architect Renzo Piano, who won the Pritzker Prize a few years ago, designed the children's science museum, aka The Nemo, in Amsterdam. A drawbridge went up before me as I headed for the green structure, and I saw a boat pass by; its sleek lines and its hefty metal anchor eerily echoed Piano's structure...
Make sure to check in again this weekend, as I'll post on an outstanding African photography exhibition.

I love this building - and don't love so much Renzo PIano's Georges Pompidou Modern Art Museum in Paris ...
oh wow!
I like the name, a captain that leads children to explorations ...
Oh interesting I didn't know that he did the Pompidou in Paris (thanks Laura;)...which I have to admit I love...
But I always find the architecture for museums or science centres etc...always to be a love or hate thing for the public.

WORLD IN A PAN = yes I agree it's a fabulous name for a fabulous building.
NANCY - actually, the Centre Pompidou was designed by Renzo Piano in collaboration with Richard Rogers.
(FYI - Laura's my mom......)
oh she's your mum! (salutations are in order...) how fabulous and hip of her to have a blog and to know also who was the architect :0

Wow, that's amazing!
OH GOSH-- it's gorgeous.
Pour moi le musee G. Pompidou sera toujours par sa structure une affreuse raffinerie implantee dans ce magnifique quartier que j'ai connu avant et qui ne meritait pas CA....
