Accessorizing

I'm not much of an accessory fan, wearing very little jewelry and allergic to it bags of all kinds. However, I do need to carry my essentials, including a book (always) and some water; I always choose leather-free deigns that are as light as possible and preferably handmade. This graphic, geometrical felt bag found on Etsy fulfills all these requirements with style.

The bakelite ring I bought from Petit Oiseau and a bird necklace (from Rag Trader) I gave a friend for Christmas.

And since so many of you liked the pics of me trying hats at a Parisian department store (see them here), I thought I'd share 2 more pics from the series...

You found a felt bag that doesn't look dumb. Where on etsy? Oh please share, M-L. We live on opposite coasts...I won't copy all the time.:)

You look wonderful trying on hats with your capelet. I'm still undecided as I worry with my current avoirdupois, the capelet will make me look ridiculous....hmmm. I almost ordered yesterday but am on fence now. Any advice? I usually do not have buyer's remorse, I have I-should've-bought-it remorse. But am brain-fogged this week.

ciao-meow (from Giulia, too).

Found the felt bag (from Poland right?)..she's on holiday until month's end so I have time for that. But capelet semi-crise continues.

GIULIA - yes, the bag is from Poland; the reason I did not include a link to the seller's shop is that the transaction was a bit difficult; my mum ordered it for me, and when it didn't arrive she repeatedly tried to contact the seller, who totally ignored her.
It all ended well and the bag arrived, but I thought you should know about this experience.
The caplet - I find caplets very chic; like everything else, it can be ridiculous if worn in a ridiculous way, or great if worn with style.
Go for it!

I love your ring and all of those hats! I have a decent collection of hats that I love. Please stop by and see Pickle's new accessory.
I think Benjy needs a little something from this site.

Thanks, M-L. Yes, I did need to know that...I have enough stress. Will keep an eye out. I'm not lacking in this area at moment. Re: capes. I can wear those...I'm worried about lower half looking gigantic due to length of a -let. Will think about it. xo

Hi Mary Laure - Just popping by to say thanks for visiting my blog and that I think Mary Laure is one of the prettiest names ever. Lucky you. And what an exotic life. I can't say I have a background half as exotic as you but having just moved from NYC to Honolulu to LA in 3 years, I just ask people: "Where would you LIKE me to be from?" Oh and please let Saki know that if he every fancies a change of scenery, we might have extra space on our sofa! Toodles!
