New York Love

Wednesday morning, at the Theodore Roosevelt Park, outside the Museum of Natural History.
Right sparrow - Hey there, pretty chick. I just flew in from Central Park...

Left sparrow - Oh shut up and kiss me!

Haha :-))) This is so sweet :-) What are you doing in NY city?? It has been way too long since I've visited. Must read up on your blog :-)

CHRISTINE - I am in NY for work, but what free time I have, I spend in the parks to find some fresh air. I also have a list of exhibitions I want to go to, so stay tuned for more NYC posts...

I was in New York weeks ago.
Someday maybe we can meet in some place.

:o) Good shots! The left one is a parent feeding the right one...

Nice blog btw. I like the comments on dance etc. My fav dancer is Sylvie Guillem and I travel from australia to see her dance when I can.

KARINA - what a pity I missed you! Some day, I hope, maybe in Buenos Aires...?

SIMON - ah yes, I had an inkling this was more of a parent/child relationship......... But then the story wouldn't have been as amusing, no?
I too adore Sylvie Guillem. I was lucky enough to see her dance Manon in Paris a few years ago, It was magical.

How lovely! Great shots, great story.

simon said...

yes, Manon is one of her best. I have seen her modern dance too, but I am not a fan of Akram Khan. Whilst I regard Sylvie as a friend, I dont think she was too happy when I said it...

AS for the photos story line- you are right. :o)

I feel inspired to communicate with this pair. I enjoy watching birds outside the window in the morning though now with the scorching heat of the desert summer they seem to have gone... or another kitty ate them all.

Aww bless. That is so, so sweet!

SIMON - I haven't seen any work by Akram Khan yet, sadly enough... But I think it's great that Sylvie Guillem is branching out in all kinds of dance works.
Did you see her in William Forsythe's In The Middle Somewhat Elevated? I only saw videos but I gasped with emotion (I love Forsythe).

PETIMOO - I'm not letting you ANYWHERE near those darling fluffy creatures! Keep your claws to yourself!

Aw, sweet! Although maybe they were just feeding each other regurg... ah never mind. Nothing but kisses and love! ;)

The shots are awesome, by the way.

(And just as an aside note - whenever I talk out loud narrating, what I assume my dog's thoughts might be, or maybe birds out in the yard, squirrels, etc - all my voices come out with crazy accents. Like I'll say stuff like, "Leesen meester, I was on dis branch first, kay?")

Do you..? No? Maybe this is something that I just do..? Sigh. Okay, then. I'll just be on my dorky way...

xoox,
-maria

yes seen Forsyth and Torsen and Two.

Once in Paris and once in Sydney. Amazing to cross the divide for sure!

Aha! Charming. As is the green, green grass that serves as a perfect backdrop for the two winged ones.

VINTAGE - LOL, yes, it IS regurgitated worms or something! Not that romantic after all!
You should listen to my sister and me. We have all those voices for our pets and other animals, and when we improvise dialogue it can get pretty wild!
