2010 - With Art

To illustrate what I wish us all for 2010, I thought I'd use images from exhibitions I've enjoyed these past 2 weeks in Paris. At the Pinacothèque, where masterpieces from the Dutch Golden Age have been loaned by my dear Rijksmuseum (Amsterdam), we can wish for many books, both enlightening and amusing... and for music, played by that graceful mandolin... Let's also wish for pooches and pets of all kinds, curled up on our beds...

The musée Antoine Bourdelle celebrates Isadora Duncan - wishing us plenty of dancing.

Finally the Fauvists & Expressionists show at the Marmottan Monet museum speaks of a year filled with colors.

Ahhh...yes! Let's wish for health, happiness, good books, lots of art, dance and then curl up with our most precious fuzzies.
I hope you enjoyed a wonderful New Year's eve with your family. Do you return to LA soon? So sad when a holiday has to end. I'm strecthing it out with our tree still up and lights here and there.

ANGELA - Happy you're wishing for the same things as me! Best 2010 to you too.

DEBRA - I love the expression "our fuzzies", how cute... Hope Pickles will have a good year too.
I'll be back in LA next week. Sad to say goodbye to loved ones.

BETH - sure, I'll just steal it for you. If you bail me out in case I get caught, he he he.

Lovely, M-L. GG made me sleep in late, lil furball. She's a soporific. (I swear I only had one glass of pinot noir last night!) We're still hoping, though, for pix of Benjy in his black turtleneck sweater...the intellectual dog in Paris...to match the adorable intellectual feline Saki's post.

IF JANE - please accept these wishes and share them with little Steevie of course.

GIULIA & SUSAN - oh I am sure you had a wonderful late morning. Isn't it wonderful how those furry friends keep us warm in bed?
Trying to snap a pic of Benjy in his black turtleneck but the beast just won't stay still for the camera!
Have a good nap, Giulia...

Beautiful wishes for a fantastic 2010 and I wish you all the same :-)
Are you still in Paris? I'm wondering if you have a moment if you could contact me by email to let me know what a first timer to Paris should do and where they might stay that isn't terrible expensive (if there is such a thing).
