Paris en fleurs (1)
I promised I'd post pictures of Paris's most 'flower-ful' balconies every weekend, and I'm starting this series with my favorite florist's, Jardin d'Auteuil (tank you, Taocito, for reminding me the name in the Comments)(75 rue d'Auteuil, 16th arrondissement).
The tiny boutique's breathtaking displays are always color-themed. This week it's a galaxy of reds.
While we're on the subject of red: in her blog, Joanna suggested we all wear red lipstick on Valentine's day. As I'm very pale I fear it may make me look like a vampire or a Eastern European hooker, but still, the idea's lovely (also, I saw Tim Burton's 'Sweeney Todd' on Saturday so I'm embracing blood-red hues and my taste for Victorian looks). I'd love to hear what your favorite red lipstick is...

c'est magnifique.
Oo-la-la! You're lucky to be surrounded by such beauty!
I love how the Parisian stone building is reflected in the glass ! It reminds us, in a subtle way, you're in Paris. The display is beautiful.
Beautiful flowers, I love roses.
What a beautiful abundance of flowers. And the new shoes from your previous post are stunning.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I'll sure be coming back to yours for my share of life in Paris.
Ah! I was expecting to see some flowers here your selection of reds suits me today, thank you! (cheers for your lovely comments!)
i love flower stores! just to walk in and smell and look..ill have to visit when i come!
i don't actually own any lipstick..if i did some chanel rouge would be nice
I'm pretty fair also, so no red lips for me. I tend to use Chanel nude lip liner all over topped with clear gloss.
I'm mostly still ga-ga over the flowers also. How I would love to have an armful of those roses in Valentine's colors!
Yay! I love the flower shops in Paris. I can't wait to see more. Thank you so much for sharing!!
I love this shop! I sometimes stroll by. It's Le Jardin D'Auteuil, right?
As a dog I seldom wear lipstick, but my mistress loves makeup. She has so much, it's a bit like Benjy's eternal source of food. Her favorite red lipstick is by Dior and I believe it's called Rouge de Scène.
Eclecticentertaining, I guess now your husband knows whatto get you for Valentine's day (especially if he wants to get more of your fabulous sandwiches....)
Marie, I didn't own any lipstick until my sister (a genuine makeup know-all!) and a friend gave me tubes as presents.
And then this week end I bought myself Russian Red from MAC - check out my post on Valentine's day for a picture!
Taocito, thanks for reminding me the name of the store. You're the best.
